Product & Research Development Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee end-to-end product and research development for skincare and dietary supplement products, from concept development through market launch and post-launch support.
- Define and drive product innovation strategies aligned with business objectives, market trends, consumer insights, and regulatory requirements to ensure successful product introduction to the market.
- Ensure timely product development, formulation, testing, scale-up, and readiness for market distribution.
- Lead research initiatives to develop innovative formulations, active ingredients, and delivery systems suitable for market launch.
- Review scientific data, ingredient efficacy, and safety to support product claims for market communication and regulatory submission.
- Oversee QA/QC functions to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Establish and maintain quality systems, SOPs, and documentation aligned with GMP, ISO, ASEAN FDA, Thai FDA, and other relevant standards.
- Ensure all products comply with local and international regulatory requirements for skincare and dietary supplements.
- Work closely with regulatory teams and external consultants on product registration, claims substantiation, and audits.
- Act as a key advisor on regulatory risks and product compliance matters.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and external partners to ensure smooth and successful product launches.
- Provide scientific and technical guidance to support product positioning and launch communication.
- Build team capabilities in formulation science, quality management, regulatory knowledge, and project execution.
- Plan and manage budgets, resources, and project priorities for PD&RD and QA/QC teams to ensure efficient and on-time delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Product Development, Research & Development, within the skincare and/or dietary supplement industry.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role, managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven experience overseeing PD, RD, and QA/QC functions.
- Strong background in GMP, QA/QC systems, regulatory compliance, and product quality management.
- Hands-on experience in launching new products from concept to market is essential.
- Strong scientific and technical expertise in skincare and dietary supplement formulations.
- Strategic thinking with strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken).
